Come relax in a 1940 remodeled farmhouse nestled among rolling hills, grazing deer, wild turkeys, and the peaceful sound of a year round creek. Perfect for a family getaway or for guests of one of the nearby wedding venues.
The house has three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. The main bedroom has a king sized bed. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed. The third bedroom has two twin sized beds (a day bed with pull-out trundle). The living room has a sofa bed that can sleep two. All together, there are beds for 8 people. With an air mattress, the house can sleep 10 people. The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances.
Take a refreshing plunge in the large pool (50 x 25), which is finished in mosaic tile in keeping with the period of the house. Or relax in the large hot tub (10 x 15) and gaze over the valley below or up at the stars at night. Please note there is an extra fee of $50 for each day the hot tub is heated. There is plenty of seating around the pool and a dining table. There is also an outdoor gas fire pit.
Great location with lots to do nearby. Folsom Lake is less than 5 minutes down the road, where you can hike to Avery's pond or do some water skiing or paddle boarding. Boat rentals are nearby. There are nearby horse stables, riding trails, wineries, golf courses, whitewater rafting on the American River, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and camping. Old town Auburn is less than 10 minutes away if you'd like to experience gold rush history along with fine dining, antique shops, and boutiques. Lake Tahoe and several ski resorts are an hour and a half away. San Francisco is only two hours away.
Please note that we don't allow any large events or weddings on our property at this time. There are great local wedding venues nearby though (Newcastle Gardens and The Flower Farm). We are happy to host wedding guests at our property.
