This 4 season expansive house has a spacious living area, five good sized bedrooms and 3 baths. Fully equipped kitchen features a granite-topped island and corian countertops. Has open-spaced dining and living rooms, with floor to ceiling fieldstone fireplace and card and game playing area. High speed internet with Smart TV in living room and finished basement . Plenty of games and puzzles.
First floor bedroom has double bed and single bed with office desk. Second floor bedroom #1 has king size bed, bedroom #2 with a double bed. Bedroom #3 a queen bed and bedroom four a single and double bed. Pull out sofa in the finished basement. Master bedroom has deck overlooking the lake. Stay where Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward lived while filming the movie Empire Falls. Wooded on either side of property for privacy. 46 miles of shoreline it is the largest lake in the Belgrade chain of lakes and the largest body of water in the world named “pond”. This is the Pond of “On Golden Pond” movie fame.
The large finished Walk out basement has a pool table, Smart TV viewing area, refrigerator and bar. The two- level deck has two dining tables and informal seating area to view one of the calmest sections of the lake. Charcoal grill is available.
The sandy beach with shallow inlet is ideal for small children. The kayaks and canoes provided are great for enjoying the lake or you can bring your own boat. The dock seats six comfortably with plenty of room to tie up boats. Nice yard has a fire pit by the lake with plenty of grassy area for kids to play and chairs to place by the water. Relax in a hammock by the water and listen to the loons or watch the eagles who nest nearby.
Water is filtered with soft water. Reverse Osmosis System in Kitchen for drinking. First floor has air conditioning as well as some bedrooms.
Great Pond is close to Belgrade, Waterville and Augusta. It is also by the Kennebec Highlands for hiking and biking. Belgrade has a farmers market every Sat in the Summer featuring local farm produce and products. You can boat to Days Market, Restaurants in Belgrade. Tie up your boat and have dinner lakeside at the Village Inn.
Ample space for parking outside.
Google Maps shows a road between the house and the lake.....the camp road is behind the house and not interfering with the house to lake access.
