Summary: Upon arrival, we had to walk in 3-4inches of snow. I get that it’s Upper Michigan, but at least keep a path shoveled. We were given our keys by a friendly staff member and upon entering our room, a guest was already inside. We went back, changed rooms and the bed looked like it had already been slept in. I chose to sleep on the fold out couch, which had a mattress beyond its life. My husband slept in the bed and said it was comfortable. Breakfast was minimal, 5 cereals, three types of mini muffins, oranges, orange juice, coffee and milk. The coffee was good. Morning staff didn’t acknowledge our presence at all. We went back to our room and I decided I wanted more coffee, the pot had the grounds still in it from a previous guest, made another pot and the coffee packets are clearly not for a 4 cup coffee maker. I put two in and the coffee was still too weak. We stayed in a suite room, I didn’t realize these were detached from the main motel, so we didn’t get a chance to use the pool, hot tub, or sauna as it was a pretty long walk in the snow in a bathing suit. The price was good. We stay in Marquette a few times a year and I would give them another chance.

Summary: This motel has been my favorite for low prices, easy checkin, and a spa. Disappointed this time. My room smelled like cigarettes and urine.

Summary: We love this motel. We’ve always had great customer service, very friendly. I’ve had conversations with multiple staff and they’re always nice and engaging. Our rooms we’ve stayed in are always clean. The rooms are pretty basic, however, always really clean. We enjoy the modern look. This is our go to place to stay every time we visit Marquette. The price is right, cheaper than hotels around but just as nice, maybe even better than other hotels in the area.

Summary: I’ve stayed at Cedar Motor Inn at least a half dozen times. Most of the time it’s been great. This last time - not so much.
Our check-in experience was poor. The rep at the desk was very distracted and made check-in difficult.
This was our first time staying with our kids with us. Every other time it had been just us (a couple). We had a two bed room. One of the beds was absolutely terrible. Worse than just a crummy mattress. The mattress was concave and the bed seemed to fold in. I told the front desk and their response was “I’ve been told all of our beds are not great” and they couldn’t do anything about it (they weren’t busy, they could have moved rooms).
The room was hot even with the heat controls off. We had to have the air conditioning on even though the daily highs were around 50.
First time with kids and the website says they have a new game room. Teenager was a little excited about that. I asked about it and they said they do have a game room but it’s only for rent. Would be good info to put in the website.

Summary: Room was clean but no lights on door way entry, only two lamps in the room. Coffee was incredibly weak and breakfast was nothing to write home about. Staff was fine

Summary: Something in air the room was aggravating and the thermostat made the room too warm. The saving grace was the fan mode on AC unit as it purified the air a little and cooled the room to an acceptable temperature.

Summary: Breakfast was good, but very limited options. Motel is older, but it was clean. Will stay there again when in the area.
