Hale House Bayfield is a customizable home to provide the Northern Wisconsin getaway of your dreams. It’s the perfect home base for your family ski trip, a weekend of exploring with your girlfriends or a small and sweet elopement. Complete with everything you need to make life-long Bayfield memories. This home is wine and records by the fire in winter; easy, breezy lake life with Superior sailboat views in the Summer.
Equal parts charming and grand, the Hale House offers intimate spaces for couples as well as spacious gathering areas for larger groups.
THE LAYOUT
Please read carefully to better understand the property layout and what is included with your booking. Bookings with more than 6 people may choose what add-on space(s) would be best for your group which we'll confirm with you upon booking.
ORIGINAL HALE HOUSE (For groups 6 people or less):
The original bones of the Hale House, you'll enter into the Mud Room with room for coats and belongings. From there you walk into a large Kitchen with plenty of pantry storage for your food and large center island. Access to the backyard is off the kitchen for convenient outdoor dining on the backyard patio (complete with table seating for up to 16, gas grill, lounge seating around a gas fire-pit and room for yard games). A half bathroom and stackable Laundry round-out the Kitchen area.
Travel through the wet bar (with beverage fridge and ample barware) to the formal dining room with table for 8+ and bistro seating overlooking the stunning original bay windows.
From there, enter the spacious Living Room with ample seating, stunning staircase, window seat overlooking the lake, access to the front wrap-around porch, and charming gas fireplace with record player to add a little ambiance to your evenings.
Walk up the staircase to a second level offering 3 bedrooms (each with their own lake-facing balcony!) which surround a full bathroom. An Office/Study area to make working remotely a little more comfortable along with a coffee bar for a convenient morning cup on the balcony complete the original Hale House.

Wraparound porch includes swinging bench and chair seating. There are three private bedroom Juliette balconies with a seating to sip your morning coffee and take in the beautiful sunrise.

SUPERIOR SUITE ADD-ON:
Access this lovely suite from the second level of the Main House (via the Study). Upon entering, you will be greeted with a cozy lounge area complete with streaming TV and electric fireplace. You’ll find a large bathroom featuring two individual vanities and a private shower/bathroom. Walk through a laundry and changing space to the far end of the room where you’ll find two king beds and large windows overlooking the lake.

ATTIC BUNK ROOM ADD-ON:
Access this charming bunk room from a staircase in the Study. As you reach the top of the staircase, you will find an open game room with books, games and a project table overlooking backyard patio. Tucked into a dormer space, kids can cuddle-up with a collection of pillows and blankets to enjoy a good book or watch a movie on the small streaming TV. (This space also serves as a great spot for an air mattress, if needed.) Bedroom area features 4 twin sleeping bunks with reading light, closable privacy curtain and convenient drawer storage below for all of your things! Area is equipped with a small 3/4 bathroom with private shower/toilet area for maximum convenience.

Guest access
Although the home is rented to only one party at a time, the Hale House is divided into three parts and customizable to your needs! Groups of 6 or fewer have access to the original bones of the Hale House as well as the exterior spaces (3 beds/1.5 baths). Groups of 7-10 people may select one add-on space of their choice - either the Superior Suite or the Attic Bunk Room. Groups of 11-16 have access to the entire property and all three areas of the home. Please see the full description in the "Your Property" section. We will confirm your space needs upon booking!
