Relax with your family or friends at our peaceful home just a few short steps from the beach, pond, and hiking trails of Roque Bluffs State Park. Hummingbird Hollow, aka Schoppee House, is a lovingly updated two bedroom cottage nestled between the ocean and state park land. Enjoy ocean views, salt air, and the sound of waves. A quick walk to the beach or pond, you’re not too far away to run back for lunch or take an afternoon nap. Also, the house is fully heated and is suitable for the cooler months!
Hummingbird Hollow is an 1818 historic cape with two bedrooms (new mattresses and new linens), a comfortable living room, which includes a gas fireplace for chilly evenings , a fully equipped kitchen (full sized stove, refrigerator, new dishes, glasses, a wide variety of pots and pans, including a lobster pot, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and basic cooking spices) and a dining space large enough for eight to ten people with a dry bar to enjoy with gorgeous sunset views. The bathroom has a hair dryer, hand soap/body wash, toilet paper, and plenty of towels. We also have beach chairs and beach towels, and we provide non-toxic Molly's suds detergent for the washer.
Based on our experiences we have tried to anticipate all the things that might help make our guests comfortable. We really do want everything to be perfect!
