About this space
Friday & Saturday nights must be booked together for a weekend stay here. It will allow you to book it but we will not be able to accommodate as we just don't allow check ins or outs on Saturdays. Does not collect county taxes so bookings will receive a funds request from us for that amount. Guests of Kishauwau's Starved Rock Area Cabins enjoy the peaceful atmosphere we offer. Spacious, well spaced cabins provide the privacy our guests are looking for. This cabin style offers a studio atmosphere with only the bathroom walled off separately. The bathroom has a huge, double sized whirlpool tub for 2 adults as well as separate shower. Each cabin offers a full kitchen, central heating & air, covered porch with porch swing and personal outdoor bonfire pit with picnic table & grill.
The space
Individual cabins on a family run property. My husband and I live right on site. Our office building is left open to guests 24/7 so you can borrow movies, games, puzzles & reading material. You also purchase firewood, pizzas, ice cream, drinks, s'mores items as well as other things on the honor system. Although we have family cabins here, our property is very quiet for that peaceful, romantic getaway you are looking for. Just a 10 minute drive from Starved Rock & Matthiessen State Parks and a 20 minute drive to next bigger towns with fabulous restaurants & shopping.
Guest access
Guests will enjoy their home away from home here. These are individual units that have their own kitchens with personal outdoor bonfire pits, picnic tables & grills. You do not share your space with anyone.

We will allow self check ins for anyone checking in after 5pm but it will require an additional e-mail with instructions from us on that process.
