The Candlewood Lake Club is a private community of about 200 residences located in New Milford and Brookfield on Candlewood Lake. In addition to its fine location, the Candlewood Lake Club boasts a host of amenities including a private golf course, four tennis courts, a beach, marina, clubhouse, junior clubhouse and a ball field. These amenities are available only to members and their guests.

The home comes with a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, he is Harlin, he is 7 years old. He is a very friendly, and a strong bark, he has full range it the two yards. He may show up when you are out on the patio, or the back door at dinner time. If you have issues with dogs, this is not the place for you. Do not rent!
Candlewood Lake Club Tennis Program
The Candlewood Lake Club tennis program runs a very active season from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The program is designed to help you improve your game regardless of your level. The club has a number of active players and levels. We employ two full time staff, a Tennis Professional and Assistant. Our tennis complex consists of four lighted courts, a tennis pro shop and nice viewing area. One of the tennis courts are designed for pickle-ball play.
Our summer program includes weekly clinics for adults; as well as weekly men’s and ladies’ socials. Clinics are complemented by numerous weekend social tennis events throughout the summer season. The club also participates in inter club socials with area country clubs and players. The program culminates with an end of season championship and awards ceremony.
We also offer a junior tennis development program for our youths ages 5 and above. The program includes weekly lessons from our tennis staff which are part of their summer camp (Group) experience. There is also one afternoon a week devoted exclusively to junior tennis play, as well as an evening “under the lights.” We also offer a junior travel team that goes around area clubs for home and away. Candlewood Lake Club - Golf
The Candlewood Lake Club members enjoy a private golf course for members and their guests. Head PGA professional, Bryan Truszkowski, runs a full-service golf program and Golf Pro-Shop with a full line of golf merchandise and clothing available for all ages.
The junior golf program starts with five-year old’s who get lessons every week. The older juniors continue with full lessons and can compete on the CLC Jr. Golf team against other clubs throughout Fairfield and Litchfield counties.
Ladies' Golf takes place on Wednesday mornings and Men’s' Golf takes place on Thursday mornings. Weekend tournaments also take place throughout the spring and summer season.
Beach
Beach facilities are available to the families of all Club members and their guests. The beach officially opens in late June and closes in late August. During this period, a lifeguard will be on duty daily from 11:00am until 5:30pm.
Candlewood Lake is a popular tourist destination, and the area is home to many second homes of New York City residents. The lake is used for recreation year-round, although tourists primarily come during the summer months for swimming, fishing, boating, and golfing. Along its approximately 60-mile (97 km) shoreline are tourist resorts and recreational facilities, including golf courses, beaches, and marinas.
There is a 45 miles per hour (72 km/h) daytime speed limit for boats and a 25 miles per hour (40 km/h) nighttime speed limit from 1/2 hour after sunset to 1/2 hour before sunrise. A 6 miles per hour (9.7 km/h) speed limit is in effect within 100 feet (30 m) of shore, dock, moored vessels, and other places that the power company has marked as hazardous.
The lake is around 40 feet (12 m) deep in most places, with some deeper areas that are 80 feet (24 m). Scuba divers can investigate buildings from the era before the lake was created, follow underwater roads, and discover artifacts. Some of the notable underwater finds are Model Ts, plane wreckage from small craft that have hit the lake since then, and covered bridges.[4]
Candlewood Lake is home to "Chicken Rock", a large rock from which people jump into the water. There is also a rope swing that allows people to swing out over the water. The 25-foot high rock, which projects into the lake from the shore on the Sherman side of the New Fairfield-Sherman border, is the site of frequent accidents.
