Magnificent authentic log home located in Northeast Pennsylvania’s premier recreation community, The Hideout. Just two hours from NYC and Philadelphia, The Hideout is a four-season Gold Star gated community with 24-hour security. As part of The Hideout, guests will have access to 5 lakes, 2 beaches, marina with kayak/canoe rentals, private 9-hole golf course, 2 heated outdoor pools and kiddie pool, outdoor basketball/tennis/volleyball courts, playgrounds, ski slopes, snow tubing, ice skating, hiking trails, recreation center (indoor courts, game room, gym), art museum, woodworking building, mini golf, Club House restaurant and Tiki Bar.
This beautiful log home retreat is appointed with all the comforts of home and is within walking distance to the main pool/beach and ski hills. Oaken’s Lodge is authentically rustic with a warmth that only a log home can offer. This is the perfect location for families or couples looking for a change from every day. Our home sleeps 10 people comfortably and offers three bedrooms, two full baths, a loft and basement. Enjoy three levels of living space with a cathedral ceiling and windows galore! The house is equipped with central air throughout the main areas of the home. Whether you plan to stay for the week, or just the weekend, we are sure you will find this home to be the perfect backdrop to lasting memories.
The first floor includes a bedroom with a queen bed and TempurPedic mattress, fully equipped large kitchen with top notch appliances, dining area, living room with wood burning fireplace, full bath and laundry room with washer/dryer. Upstairs you’ll find a spacious loft overlooking the open floor plan below with a full size sofa bed with memory foam mattress. The loft also provides a spacious desk with printer for those needing to work from our home. The master bedroom is also upstairs and has a king bed and TempurPedic mattress and ensuite master bath with jacuzzi tub. The lower level includes a game room with a pool table, dart board, chess and other board games, fitness room, and third bedroom with two sets of bunk beds (twin over full and twin over twin).
The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances (including two ovens), microwave, coffee machine, cookware, bakeware, utensils, dishes, glasses and all the serving necessities for your convenience. Adjacent dining area boasts a king table that comfortably seats eight with additional seating for four at the kitchen island. This home is perfect for hosting a holiday or special occasion!
The living room offers a small piano for your enjoyment so bring your sheet music and lyrics. The home has four Smart TV’s with Roku (must sign into apps with your own accounts) and Wifi with Mesh routers providing dependable high speed internet service. A Nintendo Wii in the loft is also provided for your entertainment.
Relax at the property while enjoying the great outdoors on the private wrap-around deck that backs to greenlands. A grill, fire pit and outdoor table with umbrella is provided as well as a rocking chair and additional seating on the covered front porch. There is also a long driveway that can accommodate 4 vehicles and a boat (public launch is nearby at Lake Wallenpaupack).
Our log home retreat is conveniently located within 30 miles of some of Poconos’ best attractions including Elk Mountain Ski Resort, Camelback Ski Resort and Water Park, Kalahari Water Park, Mount Airy Casino, Mohegan Sun Casino, Costa’s Family Fun Park, Paws “N” Claws Wild Animal Park, Lake Wallenpaupack marinas, boat-ing, fishing, hiking, wineries, breweries, snowmobiling, spas and many other nearby attractions.

Must be at least 30 years old to book this home. A minimum of 2 nights’ stay is required (3 nights during holidays and 5 nights during the summer).

****Please Note: This home is located in a secured, gated, private community. You will need to fill out a rental contract and agree to the community and house rules. Any violations will be subject to citations from the community and possible eviction from the property. It will be sent to you by our property manager upon booking. This will need to be completed within 72 hours of your arrival or the community will assess a $100 late fee that you will be responsible for. You may not exceed the max amount of people allowed and there are no more than 4 cars allowed in the driveway. No other guests can visit the lot while you are there.
