Summary: We stayed at Meno House for 4 nights during our honeymoon and were drawn in by the peaceful location, boutique feel, and beachfront setting — and in many ways, it delivered. The rooms are beautifully designed, modern, and perfect for a romantic escape. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean and private beach with sunbeds were ideal for relaxing. Breakfast was consistently delicious (especially the coffee), and the staff were friendly and attentive. We also loved the thoughtful honeymoon cake waiting in our room on arrival. Snorkelling and diving off the beach were highlights, and the hotel offers free snorkelling gear and bikes (though cycling through sand was a challenge!). However, a few things let the experience down. On our first night, we found stained bed linen, a towel with holes, and a large cockroach in the room. Bugs also got in easily through the bathroom door. The staff responded quickly, and the manager, Jordan, arranged pest control and offered a complimentary cocktail. Still, despite being on-site later, he never approached us directly — a personal check-in would’ve meant a lot. Also, though Meno House is marketed as adults-only, children were present in shared areas, and transfers could be better value. Overall, it’s a stunning, peaceful spot with real potential. With a little more polish in hospitality and quality control, it could be truly exceptional.
