The Space:
As you round the bend of the driveway, you’ll catch your first glimpse of the sprawling view, and the lush plantings that line the walkway to the front door. Entering into the bright, open interior is like a deep breath that immediately lifts the spirits. High ceilings and expansive windows bring in the glow of natural light even on grey days. The gorgeous mountain view greets you once again from the entry, and nearly every room throughout the house.

A tidy half bath is conveniently located just off the front door, with the open kitchen/living/dining spaces unfolding to your right. This is the perfect space for gathering and catching up before, during, and after a meal, or a lovely spot for quiet contemplation while admiring the view. A large sectional sofa anchors a seating area that invites relaxation and cozinesss (complete with a wood stove for the colder months). Cooks will rejoice at the sight of the well-appointed kitchen’s thoughtful layout and ample counter space. The kitchen and generous dining table beyond are sure to inspire memorable meals shared against the panoramic backdrop of meadows and mountains.

In warmer months, a back deck hosts beautiful potted plants, comfy chairs - a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or a late afternoon cocktail. The primary bedroom hosts a King bed and a soothing color scheme of grey and white. More natural light floods in, and the mountains act as part of the rooms artwork. The ensuite bath hosts a large rain shower and a separate soaking tub. Truly, this room is a spa-like haven.

As you move downstairs, enjoy the change in vantage point, with the views now being more of the lawn, meadow, and tree line - perfect for spotting birds and other wildlife. Directly at the bottom of the stairs is a door out to the back lawn. The outdoors beckoning beyond.

A cozy media room is just to your right, with a lush sectional sofa providing the perfect spot to curl up with your favorite film, or gather around the spacious coffee table for board games or cards. The laundry room is conveniently located at the rear of the media room.

Just off the media room is a guest bedroom hosting a queen-sized bed and decked in warm neutral tones. As with all other rooms, even this cozy nook has wonderful views and tons of natural light.

On the other side of the landing, a spacious full bath boasts a combination rain shower/soaking tub.

Just beyond is a cheery, welcoming kids room, with bunk beds and bright pops of color. A reading nook/”thoughtful spot” offers excellent views of nature and is an excellent spot to plot an adventure.

We provide electronic access to the house with a personal guest code. You'll receive the code 24 hours prior to checkin, though your code will only activate at check-in.

The Neighborhood:
While this is a perfect respite from the outside world in its tranquil solitude, not far off are the charming towns of Hillsdale NY, Great Barrington MA and Hudson NY. Getting Around:
To enjoy the expansive beauty of the region, you'll need a car to get here and get around--and the drive will be stunning! Since cell service can be inconsistent in the country, we recommend that you download the region's online maps to your phone before your trip.
We strongly advise using or renting a car that has all wheel or 4 wheel drive to access the property, especially in the colder months.

• For longer stays, we require professional cleaning by our housekeepers every 2 weeks; guests can arrange and pay for this cleaning with the manager.
• To ensure a safe and comfortable stay, the owners of this property require that all guests sign a Short-term Rental agreement that clearly sets forth the terms and conditions of your stay.
• We provide detailed check-in information 5 days prior to your arrival, and we are pleased to answer your questions at any time.
•To provide protection in the case of damage, the owners of this property require a security deposit

Nature & What to pack:
We urge guests to pay close attention when enjoying nature, weather can change quickly and wild animals can be surprising. Because temperatures in the mountains can fluctuate widely, even in the height of summer, we recommend packing sweaters and light, cold-weather gear just in case. Depending on the activities you plan, we recommend packing hiking, running, swimming, horseback riding, and/or running gear. We also recommend that guests consider spraying clothes with Permethrin when walking outside, to help avoid ticks. In winter we recommend guests pack several layers of warm clothing and ensure that their vehicles are ready for potential snowfall. For other clothing, most venues around are very casual.
